Xinyou (Jerry) Ji

Hi, I am Xinyou (Jerry) Ji. As of May 2024, I am an MSCS student at Carnegie Mellon University. Before this, I received my bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

I am not really a guy who has done a lot of research, but in general I love building computer systems, including operating systems, compilers, and distributed software.

Outside of all these "boring" work stuff, I play basketball a ton and I really love gaming. (p.s. I used to be a FACEIT level 10 player in CS:GO and a Diamond in League.)

Projects:

• c0c: a fully end-to-end compiler for the C0 language, running in your browser (CMU 15-411/611, Spring 2024).
• panoramic: a panoramic image stitching pipeline with multiple backends (MPI, CUDA, OpenCV).
• spark-sched: a dummy scheduler for Spark workloads in clusters with asymmetric network bandwidth.
